Colour Creations Real Red

 Hellow Fellow Stampers!

Tonight we showcase Real Red!

I loved making this gift box of cards using the Love of Leaves stamp set and Stitched Leaves dies!

Gift Box template and instructions available here.

Materials used:

Cardstock - Real Red, Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce, Basic White

Inkpads - Real Red, Shaded Spruce

Embossing Folders - Tin Tile, Subtle, Scripty

Using the technique of ink embossing I made the backgrounds:

I made a "grassy knoll" of Shaded Spruce, embossing with Subtle 3D EF and cut with scissors, or a curvy die, like Quite Curvy. I made the "trees" with one of the leaves in Love of Leaves Stamp set and cut  out with the corresponding Stitched Leaves die. I made the sentiments with the same stamp set, and voila - the cards above!
Hope you enjoyed this weeks showcase! The rest of the team have created wonders, hosted by Cathy Proctor on her blog.

Purple Posy Creations

Greetings on another Wednesday Colour Creations night!

Purple Posy Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Up Card

This week we are showing off the delightful Purple Posy - a lovely mauve colour that reminds me of my grandmother whose favourite colour was purple!

I have teamed it up with Blackberry Bliss. I used a cardbase in Purple Posy, onto which I adhered a matt of Purple Posy embossed with Brick and Mortar 3D EF.  I stamped some Daisy Lane daisies with Blackberry Bliss ink onto Basic White cardstock, and punched out with Medium Daisy punch. I also stamped some blossoms with Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punched out with coordinating Small Bloom punch. I used some White Baker's Twine from Snail Mail Combo Pack to give a little whirl of twine under the sentiment from Sweet Strawberry. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with White Emboss Powder onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock and punched out with Tailored Tag punch.

Just for a little movement in the card I cut out two of the petals from one of the daisies and adhered to the tag. This also allowed the sentiment to show through and not be covered with petals.

I love this colour - just like Grandma!

Pumpkin Pie Creations Showcase

 Hi there again Stampin' friends!

Pumpkin Pie Tulips Stampin' Up card

Tonight on colour creations we are showcasing the hallowed hues of Pumpkin Pie!

I made the Get Well card for a friend who has recently been unwell with the Timeless Tulips photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Tulip Builder punch. The card base is Very Vanilla. I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder to ink emboss the Very Vanilla decorative panel. I adhered some Linen Thread under the tulips which were stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I added a little flower from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set punched out with the coordinating Small Bloom punch.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. This stamp set has some great sentiments and is a good all-rounder or beginner stamp set! I stamped on Very Vanilla scrap of cardstock, and made a little banner.

I love how this card turned out, and I wonder what the other team members have made this week. Head on over to Cathy's Blog to find out!

Easter Baskets

Don’t you just love Easter, bunnies and chocolate? Today, I am showing you how to make an Easter basket to fill with a little chocolate favour as a gift for your near and dear ones.

Stampin Up Easter Bunny Baskets

Decorate with bows, butterflies, tulips etc. I used Small Bloom, Medium Daisy and Daisy, and Sprig punches. I added some colour with Blushing Bride ink and Sponge Daubers. I also added a 1-3/4” square of gingham paper, folded diagonally and tucked in the sides of the basket. I filled it with speckled chocolate Easter eggs.

The Easter Bunnies shown in the picture are made using the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack, a small heart punch (such as in Dog Builder Punch) or circle punch for the nose, and the Oval Duo punch for the ears. The bow is tied with The Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon. Just draw some whiskers, and you’re done!

The cardstock used is Blushing Bride, Basic White and Soft Suede. I have used the Assorted Googly Eyes from Stampin' Up! which are on clearance.

Colour Creations Pretty Peacock

 Hello again, there!

Pretty Peacock Stampin' Up Leaves Card

We have another great Stampin' Up colour this week on Colour Creations: the In Colour of Pretty Peacock!

The card I made above uses the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Stitched Leaves dies. I have stamped the two larger leaves with Pretty Peacock ink and diecut them out with the corresponding die. The smaller leaves uses the Baby Wipe technique. I took a regular baby wipe and put some drops of Mint Macaroon and Soft Sea Foam ink on it. I then used this like a stamp pad and inked up the smaller leaf stamp with it before stamping on Basic White cardstock. I then diecut the image out again.

The background matt uses the large background die on the Stitched Leaves dies on a piece of Basic White cardstock which had been watercolour washed with Pretty Peacock ink, as well as some flicks of the same ink using the Water Painter. I used a piece of Linen Thread to wrap around the matt and tie a bow. I stamped the Thank You from the Love of Leaves stamp set and cut out a banner.

Here is a video showing the Ink Flicking technique I use.

I hope you like my Pretty Peacock colour creation this week! Check out Cathy Procter's blog for links to the other team members and continue the fun!

Colour Creations Poppy Parade

 Hi Stampin' Friends!!

Welcome to Colour Creations Poppy Parade!

Berry Delightful Suit and Tie Stampin' Up Card

I made this card with the wonderful Suit and Tie dies and the Berry Delightful DSP from Sale-a-bration. The sentiment is from Happy Thoughts stamp set, stamped in Versamark ink onto Poppy Parade cardstock and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

It was a very simple and rewarding card to make, and I think it will "suit" a very special person I know!
