Colour Creations Pool Party

Drapery Fold Pool Party Stampin' Up Card

Hello dear Stampers! Tonight we are showing off the lovely Pool Party in our showcase! I love this colour as it is very cool and soothing, a cross between light blue and minty green.

I have teamed it up with Flower and Field DSP which is a free Sale-a-bration item, and made a Drapery Fold Card! I have added some Matte Black Dots from the Love You Always Suite in the January-June mini catalogue. The sentiment is also a Sale-a-bration item - the Heal Your Heart stamp set, which I am happy to add to my collection.

First, I cut an A4 sheet of Basic Black at 6" on the long side. Then I folded it in half to make the square card base. I then cut a sheet of my precious DSP to 11 and half inches x 5 and three quarters inches. I saved the little strip of paper cut off the edge.

I then scored my strip of DSP at 3", 4", 6", 7", 9" and 10". Then I marked at 1 inch on  the right side of the strip of DSP, and cut a diagonal from here to the 3" score mark. I then folded into a drapery fold. I hope the diagram helps:

Here are the elements of my card.

I glued down the folds of the folded DSP down and adhered to a matt of Pool Party (5 and three quarters x 5 and half inches). I stamped the sentiment and added the Matte Black Dots. I glued the whole card front to the card base.

On the inside I glued a matt of Pool Party with the strip of DSP I had saved earlier:

Now it is just about ready to send! This card says it all - Thank You for joining me tonight!
