Colour Creations Pretty Peacock

 Hello again, there!

Pretty Peacock Stampin' Up Leaves Card

We have another great Stampin' Up colour this week on Colour Creations: the In Colour of Pretty Peacock!

The card I made above uses the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Stitched Leaves dies. I have stamped the two larger leaves with Pretty Peacock ink and diecut them out with the corresponding die. The smaller leaves uses the Baby Wipe technique. I took a regular baby wipe and put some drops of Mint Macaroon and Soft Sea Foam ink on it. I then used this like a stamp pad and inked up the smaller leaf stamp with it before stamping on Basic White cardstock. I then diecut the image out again.

The background matt uses the large background die on the Stitched Leaves dies on a piece of Basic White cardstock which had been watercolour washed with Pretty Peacock ink, as well as some flicks of the same ink using the Water Painter. I used a piece of Linen Thread to wrap around the matt and tie a bow. I stamped the Thank You from the Love of Leaves stamp set and cut out a banner.

Here is a video showing the Ink Flicking technique I use.

I hope you like my Pretty Peacock colour creation this week! Check out Cathy Procter's blog for links to the other team members and continue the fun!
