Smokey Slate Colour Creations

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Tonight we are showing off our Smokey Slate creations. This soft grey colour is a great part of the Neutrals range.

Here I have teamed it up with one of the new In Colours - Fresh Freesia.

I cut some Smokey Slate cardstock and ink-embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I then cut out the jacket with the Suit and Tie dies. And I didn't forget to add a little breast pocket with the help of the dies!

I folded a Fresh Freesia cardbase (A5 folded in half), and diecut a Fresh Freesia collar with the Suit and Tie dies. The tie is diecut out of plain Smokey Slate cardstock.

The "happy birthday" sentiment is from Timeless Tulips. I used Smokey Slate ink on a scrap of Fresh Freesia cardstock.

I had a lot of fun making this masculine birthday card, and it was a quick and easy card for someone dear. Head on over to Cathy's blog to see what the other creatives have shared tonight!

  7. A great card Su. Love your colour combination - Fresh Freesia looks so good with Smoky Slate. And the way you created the "fabric" for the jacket is very clever and looks so good. xxx
